La Foresteria organizes hiking, especially along the “Trail of the Mountain Panorama” and the theme path of Cai (Club Alpino Italiano) called “water wheel”, a journey to discover the many mills in the area, as well as in three major parks neighbors, namely: the natural park of Val Troncea, 3,280 hectares characterized by sediments of clay and marl, schist, dolomite and green stones, the result of submarine eruptions driven by coral deposits on the surface, the Great Natural Park Salbertrand forest, with spectacular blooms of hundreds of plants.
Rocciavré Orsiera Nature Park offers 11,000 hectares from 1,000 to 2,880 meters above sea level. Its archaeological, historical, ethnographic, botanical and wildlife attract crowds of visitors with guides, educational lectures and workshops. All these parks are located within the path called GTA (Path of the great crossing of the Alps).
La Foresteria organizes visits to the Ecomuseums Scopriminiera, main site of Mines in Valley Germanasca. A train to the heart of the mountain, with helmet, cape and light, the contrast between the darkness of the tunnel and the white talc, including testimonies of 200 years of work and restoration of old mining structures. The area also has a rich cultural heritage-related work: ancient costumes, traditional villages, mills, sundials, fountains, historical archeology.
